Sometimes our actions are so out-of-character, there are no explanations. Last year, I decided to go to a blogging conference. I’m shy, am an itty-bitty tiny speck in the blogging community, and didn’t previously know a soul attending. I met my roommates as well as two local-ish girls to carpool with via Twitter, and off I went to Indianapolis, disguising the online-ness of it all by calling it a “women’s conference.”
All I knew was I needed to be there and meet these women whose words had rung so true. I had the sense they were like me in various ways, hearts bound tightly to the Gospel and big ideas while walking daily through the mundane and perplexing realness of life.
And I was right. In fact, God blew me away with the intricate personal connections He formed. He was in the details, undeniably.
In two weeks, we’ll meet again. We’ll dream bravely and share freely and worship our Lord who redeems even this unfathomable technology that is the internet.
I hope to see you there. Head over the Influence Network blog today for a link-up of attendees.
